(AP) - Chinese miners take a lunch break from rescue work at the Xinjing Coal Mine, in Zuoyun county, west of Datong, northern China's Shanxi province, Monday, May 22, 2006. An 800-member rescue team raced Monday to reach as many as 57 miners trapped underground in a flooded coal mine, but there was no word on whether any were alive four days after the disaster. In what appears to be the worst accident this year in the disaster-plagued mining industry, the government raised the estimated number of miners missing, from 44 early Sunday, and blamed the flood on excessive and illegal mining.
