The St. Louis Blues demoted Patrick Lalime to the AHL's Peoria Rivermen on Tuesday, a day after placing the struggling goaltender on waivers. Lalime was not claimed by any of the NHL's other 29 teams so the Blues had to decide whether to send him down or let him sit idle.
