India to strengthen economic ties with Sri Lanka

New Delhi, In a joint statement released here, India and Sri Lanka have agreed to strengthen bilateral economic relationship by negotiating a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). India also has agreed to co-operate Sri Lanka on various projects for the development of the country. India has offered to support the Sri Lanka in the reconstruction and development in the North and East through technical and financial assistance.
