Don Parsons Scores Game-Winner As Memphis RiverKings Hold On for 4-3 Win Over Corpus Christi Rayz - CHL Hockey MLN Newswire - 11.03.05 - CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Memphis RiverKings survived a frantic 40 second stretch by the Corpus Rayz in the third period and held on for a 4-3 win at the American Bank Center Thursday night. The Rayz turned a 4-0 third period deficit into a 4-3 nail-biter with three goals in a 40 second stretch of the third period but the RiverKings took a timeout to settle down and kept the Rayz off the board for the remainder of the game and in the process evened their record at 2-2. Don Parsons scored the first goal and what proved to be the game-winner, his second and third goals of the season, as the RiverKings scored first for the first time this season. In between, Stephen Margeson scored his first of the season and Dorian Anneck his third as the RiverKings built what they thought was a comfortable 4-0 lead early in the third. Other than that 40 second nightmare in the third, Guy St Vincent was strong in his RiverKings debut and got the win with a 39 save performance.
