Spectrum Brands reports large loss

Sales were up for Spectrum Brands - including its struggling battery brands - but the company reported a net loss of $439.4 million, or $8.88 a share, on revenue of $608.4 million for the fourth quarter that ended Sept. 30.That's a much wider loss than the $2.9 million net loss, or 6 cents a
