Filed under: Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Heavy use of antibitics during childhood, meaning more than 10 times, has been linked to increasing the possibility for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma to develop. For parents with children who have needed antibiotics in their formative years this a scary study, and hits home for me. My first son needed antibiotics in his first moments of life due to a blood transfusion. I will be staying abreast of the situation as cancer of the lymphatic system is undergoing new research. A team of doctors form Norther California Cancer Centre in Fremont lead by Dr. Ellen T. Chang, have also found an increase in NHL among heavy user of anti-inflammatory drugs, ie. buprofen.
