Quake hits Japan, tsunami warning issued

An 8.1-strong earthquake struck Japan's Kuril island Wednesday and the country's meteorological agency has warned a tsunami may hit the eastern parts of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of the country. Residents of the island have been advised to leave the coasts and reach higher levels.
