Study suggests that maternal diet during pregnancy may affect generations

A new study conducted by researchers in Sydney, Australia, provides evidence which suggests that the genes that you carry might be influenced by your grandmother's diet during her pregnancy. The research which was carried out on pregnant mice, found that the food that the mice ate during the course of pregnancy, affected not only their offspring but even their offspring's offspring, suggesting that at least the genetics of the next two future generations could be influenced by the maternal diet.
