Prendergast: International pressure needed to end violence, insecurity in Darfur

The violence in Sudan's western province of Darfur continues into its third year with few signs of abating. Nearly two million people have been displaced and tens of thousands killed in Darfur, where pro-government Arab militiamen called Janjaweed are accused of ethnic cleansing against non-Arab ethnic groups.
