Lahoud at UN summit as presidency falls under spotlight

President Emile Lahoud will leave before noon today for the United Nations summit in New York, shrugging off pleas to stay home amid rising calls for his resignation and a search for his replacement. Although not confirmed by official U.S. or UN sources, it is widely expected Lahoud will be excluded from most diplomatic receptions.
