Yoga teacher Iyengar honored for helping children

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Renowned yoga teacher B.K.S. Iyengar was honored Wednesday for his teaching of yoga techniques that help children suffering from chronic pain. The pediatric pain program at Mattel Childrens Hospital at UCLA presented the award to Iyengar, who was listed by Time magazine last year as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. The event was hosted by actess Ali MacGraw and included a talk about Iyengar's teachings with actress and yoga practitioner Annette Bening.
