Are you into service bundling with Internet, wireless and television service?

Filed under: Cellular, Business This column over at RCRNews.com says quite a bit, and it makes some surprising revelations as well. Do customers *really* want service bundling of every possible telecom service -- Internet, landline phone, wireless, television -- from one company? What about dissimilar services bundling compared to similar services (landline, wireless) bundling? Personally, I've always stayed away from bundles. I've rarely found the applicable discount (if there is one) that's worth the inflexibility I get from bundles from one company. I prefer to choose independent providers for all my services since the needs I have for all services are usually different that one single company can provide, even with a decent bundle. Guess what? My high-speed Internet, wireless service and television service (no landline!) are from three different providers and I get excellent service from each one -- just as I tried to design. My experiment with "bundles" -- over three years ago -- was horrid and left a bad taste in my mouth. The options were not flexible enough and the savings? Well, that was a moot point.
