Lancaster, Interim Chief of Gynecologic Surgical Oncology and Medical Director, Lifetime Cancer Screening & Prevention Center at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, has developed a new approach by scanning ovarian cancers for proof of vast genetic changes which aid in a tumor's growth, survival, and how it responds to therapy. Lung cancer and breast cancer have already been scanned using this technique. Lancaster will test this trial on ovarian cancer in the near future. This is what makes me love the medical field. It truly is a wonderful thing. Think of the suffering and lives spared by these advancements. Wow. Read Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
