China to face environmental challenges

If current economic growth and resource consumption rates are maintained, China will face a major resource challenge by 2020, according to a report from the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED). The Council report, "Review and Perspectives on the Environment and Development of China," was presented by a special CCICED task force at its annual meeting over the weekend.
