(AP) - An Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit banner calls out a welcome Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, outside the new National Convention Center in Hanoi, Vietnam. Vietnam hopes to show the world this week that its booming economy is ready to take on the world and is doing so by hosting Pacific Rim leaders at a new ship-shaped convention center topped with a dramatic wavelike roof. Leaders from 21 countries and territories, including U.S. President George W. Bush, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, are to attend the weekend summit. (AP Photo/David Longstreath)
