In CT-2, Recount Narrows the Gap
13th Nov 2006, 19:22 GMT
In Connecticut's 2nd congressional district, a recount has found that approximately 100 votes were miscounted in the race between Rep. Rob Simmons (R-CT) and Joe Courtney (D), according to WTNH-TV. There was no immediate word as to what the new count meant for either candidate. After last week's election, Courtney led by 166 votes. However, The Hotline reports the new count favors Simmons and that Courtney's lead is now just 60 votes.
