A Summer Garden
13th Jul 2006, 23:24 GMT
You know it is summer when the Queen Anne's Lace is in bloom. There are other plants that bloom during hot summertime, such as mimosa trees with their frilly, orange-red blossoms. I have even seen Joe Pye weed in bloom. The daylilies have been spectacular this year. I've redone some of the borders and plan to use even more daylilies in the future. I think this is the best of all perennials for East Tennessee.
