Ripples in Pushkar: son of a Muslim becomes temple priest

The decision of a Pushkar court recognising the illegitimate son of a Muslim woman with a priest as the rightful heir to a centuries-old temple here has created a storm. Puritans in Brahma's Pushkar are finding it difficult to come to terms with the idea of an ''illegitimate half Muslim'' as the priest of a 500-year-old Shiva temple.
