Rutledge takes big step toward PGA

Canadian golf watchers were disappointed that Mike Weir didn't get past the third round of the Accenture Match Play Championship, which Australian Geoff Ogilvy won yesterday in Carlsbad, Calif. But aficionados have reason to smile anyway because Jim Rutledge of Victoria, one of the game's most likeable players, won the ING New Zealand PGA Championship yesterday.
