E. Dampier's offense suffers

Erick Dampier got the early defensive assignment Sunday and helped hold Portland's leading scorer, Zach Randolph, in check. Working on three straight 30-point games, Randolph didn't score in the first quarter and missed six of seven shots in the first half. He finished with 20 points, a number the Mavs could live with. In exchange, Dampier took just five shots from the floor, although he made four of them.
