EU lawmaker, states clash over data storage rules

STRASBOURG, France (Reuters) - Details of all telephone calls in the European Union should only be stored for three months at most to fight terror, an EU lawmaker said on Monday, rejecting calls from the bloc's member states for storage of a year or more.
