Indian IT biggies swinging in the global IT market, as does their mantra of cost efficiencies

Outsourcing has put Indian IT giants on the global IT map, even as five of them - Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys Technologies, IBM, Accenture and Patni Computers, successfully secured a US $2.2 billion contract from ABN AMRO Bank in separate deals. The transaction understood to be amongst Europe’s biggest in recent years, hopes to help the bank with over 5000 staff worldwide, handling tasks that range from managing computer networks and software development to maintenance, to cut its work-force.
