5th Oct 2005, 08:06 GMT
(TP) US-based wireless solutions provider Navini Networks is working with British Telecommunications (BT) to trial pre-WiMAX systems for the UK market. The move represents a chance for BT to examine the commercial viability and customer experience of wireless broadband in rural and urban settings in the UK, according to Roger Dorf, president and CEO of Navini Networks. The trial will be using Navini's Ripwave CPEs, PC cards and base stations and is expected to last into Q1 2006. BT is a provider of communications solutions serving customers in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Navini Networks provides portable, plug-n-play broadband wireless access solutions.
