Cadbury Schweppes pulls plug on European beverages

Cadbury Schweppes plc, the world's biggest confectioner and third largest maker of soft drinks, said intends to sell its European beverages arm and use the proceeds to reduce the group's net debt, which recently stood at GBP4.3 billion.
