eFinancialNews Bought By Investor Group; eFinancialGroup Brought Separately By Dice
14th Nov 2006, 00:50 GMT
I missed this one earlier this month, but an interesting B2B deal: Dice Holdings, the parent of tech jobs site Dice.com, among others, has bought out UK-based financial careers site/company eFinancialGroup (EFG). EFG is the parent company of eFinancialCareers.com and jobsinthemoney.com. Financial terms were not disclosed. Dice Holdings is itself owned by PE firms General Atlantic and Quadrangle Group, which acquired the company in August 2005. Separately, eFinancialNews (EFN), a separate news/info subsidiary of eFinancialGroup, has been purchased by a group of investors, though no more details are known at this point. EFN also has a sister U.S. site called Financial News Online US. Earlier this year, there were some rumors that NYC-based financial info/media firm Source Media was in advanced talks to buy EFN, but not sure if Source is part of that investor group.
