(AP) - Friends and family of Col. William Wood leave the First United Methodist Church Friday Nov. 4, 2005 after his funeral in Hinesville, Ga. Wood, 44, of Panama City, Fl. died Oct. 27 in Iraq after an improvised explosive device detonated near his position. Wood is the highest-ranking U.S. officer to be killed in combat in the Iraq war, the U.S. military said Monday. (AP Photo/Stephen Morton)
