Poor results for Axonyx Alzheimer's drug

Axonyx's developmental drug Phenserine has produced disappointing results in phase III clinical trials for mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Enrollment in the trials was halted after the drug's lack of efficacy became apparent.
