Tobacco related lung cancer gets help from plant

Filed under: Alternative Therapies, Lung Cancer The Journal of the National Cancer Institute writes on an exciting find regarding those individuals who have smoked or are currently smoking. A new study is underway, determining whether a plant product, called Deguelin, will complicate the cellular processs which change healthy normal cells into cancerous ones. The study, being conducted on mice, shows a link to this plant and its ability to block tobacco induced lung tumors. It is very good news, hoping to promise a treatment for early stages of lung carcinogenesis: The begining stages of lung cancer.
