Mental health services set for boost

Australians suffering from mental illness could receive greater assistance in a government shake-up of the nation's much-criticised mental health services.Prime Minister John Howard is promising to take mental health to the next meeting of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) in February and has proposed a plan for boosting early intervention, residential care and counselling.
