Lahoud heads to UN amid resignation calls

As President Emile Lahoud continued with preparations for his trip to the United Nations next week, the catalogue of calls from the parliamentary majority for his resignation seemed to have been toned down. According to sources in Baabda Presidential Palace, Lahoud spent the day preparing to deliver his official statement before.
