Food Secrets

Does anyone out there have a some special ways they monitor food portions and/or cut the fat during the holidays? I am more concerned with the fat part than the portion size, but I do things like make stuffing balls, which basically are individual portions. I make cranberry/strawberry sauce using Equal-which by the way is loved by my whole family and I use evaporated skim milk in my pumpkin pie. These little things all help, but really don’t take away from the flavor. If you drink liquor use sugar free mixers and if you like eggnog there are lots of low fat options that are really good. I was trying to access a web site for our famous eastern shore eggnog from the Lewes Dairy and was not able to, but trust me if you like eggnog this is really incomparable! Anyway, if you have ways to make the holidays easier to handle, please share, share and share. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
