Mom strives to raise money and awareness for cancer
20th Jan 2006, 17:52 GMT
In 1998 Robyn Raphael lost her five year old son, Keaton, to cancer. Since that time she has devoted most of her free time to raising money for childhood cancer awareness. To date Raphael and her husband have raised over $800,000 dollars for the cause. In recognition of her tireless efforts, Robyn was featured on Monday's NBC's "Today Show" along with two other inspirational stories. The winner of the three tales will win a Royal Caribbean 12-day cruise for two each year for the rest of their life. While winning would be a lovely side bar for Robyn, she states, ""I can't lie; it would be great to go on a free cruise every year. But for me, the bigger thing is the awareness aspect for childhood cancer." Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
