Sensex surrenders early gains, plunges by 71 pts

Correcting further downwards, the sensex today (Dec 15, 2005) plunged by another 71.36 points in highly volatile trading and closed at 9170.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) due to sustained heavy sell-off in the form of profitbooking.
