The web 1.0 was getting cyberspace to the masses, via hyperlink. Web 2.0 is using active scripting and blurring the line between "travelling" or surfing, and "doing", running programs. Web 3.0 will expand on this, with the huge database that now is "the web", so that it will work as a functional unit that can solve problems transparently.
