Vaccine against cervical cancer most effective in 10- to 14-year-olds

Cervarix, a vaccine that protects against cervical cancer caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), is the most effective when administered to girls between the ages of 10 to 14 years, its maker GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) said in Washington while presenting the results of the phase III trials of the vaccine.
