Mother makes a loving sacrifice to unborn child

Filed under: Breast Cancer, Stories A Filipina mother recently had to make the ultimate sacrifice for her newborn baby, her life. The woman, just 37, discovered she had breast cancer during her pregnancy. The docotors informed her that she could either abort her baby and undergo chemotherapy or keep the baby and likely perish. Being a devout Catholic, she did not believe in abortion and instead prayed for her unborn child and a cure for cancer. The prayers for her baby were answered and after the mother began to experience some complications, he was born a bit prematurely. Unfortunately for the mother, she passed away about a week after the baby's birth. While this is a tragic story, it is also touching to read of such a strong love.
