The Coolest Birthday Party We Can't Have

Gothamist was exploring various options for a birthday party, and we stumbled upon what might be the Holy Grail of parties: A Bronx Zoo Sleepover! Just look at what you would get to do:A sleep-over at the zoo is unforgettable, especially when it's above the world's greatest zoo exhibit - the Congo Gorilla Forest. An animal guest will welcome your child and friends to our private Congo Party Room. The birthday group will take a nocturnal safari to watch sea lions splashing in the dark, and listen for the calls of owls. In the morning, they'll watch the zoo come to life, and have the gorilla forest to themselves. An ANIMAL GUEST will welcome you! But, unfortunately, this birthday party is only open to kids ages 8-12. Oh, and it's $4500 for up to 15 kids. Gothamist guesses we'll have to settle on a bar or something as we're not 12 anymore. Here's the Bronx Zoo website. Plan your trip around the feeding and training times of various animals (penguins are fed at 3:30PM, tigers have enrichment at 11:30AM, 1:30PM, and 3:30PM). You can take Docent-led tours at the Bronx Zoo, which are a $25 flat fee on top of admission. And there are lots of baby monkeys to see.
