Gruden protects QB Gradkowski

Youth and inexperience, dropped passes, turnovers and conservative play calling were all cited as factors Tuesday. However, coach Jon Gruden said one person who shouldn't be blamed is rookie quarterback Bruce Gradkowski. "That's pretty harsh to point a finger at one guy," Gruden said of the sixth-round draft pick who threw two interceptions and lost a fumble during Monday night's 24-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers. "He's doing everything that he can. He's got a lot of promise," the coach added. "I know it's hard to see sometimes, but that's a fact."
