Nissan-Renault CEO: GM capital tie not precondition

TOKYO (Reuters) - Carlos Ghosn, head of Nissan Motor Co. 7201.T and Renault SA RENA.PA, said on Friday that a capital alliance with General Motors Corp. GM.N was not a precondition to any tie-up with the U.S. automaker, adding that the issue was not discussed with the GM team last week.
