Fallout from Mirza charges

The charging of four former security chiefs by State Prosecutor Said Mirza was a strong blow to some political circles and officials and almost caused a political crisis. President Emile Lahoud was surprised by this development, which he strove to prevent on Thursday in meetings with Justice Minister Charles Rizk and Mirza after the state-run National News Agency published.
