Cooking Jennie-O's turkeys is easy

Filed under: Gripes, Television, Streaming Video I don't know how to break this to you but Thanksgiving is just over a week away. That means the turkey advertising has begun. No, not advertising to turkeys (how, aside from "gobble" would you say "30-second spot"?). I mean advertising encouraging people to buy turkeys. Jennie-O has decided to take a humorous approach (shocking, I know) by showing how much trouble people go through to cook other brands' turkeys and how simple Jennie-O's are in comparison. A series of gobbles 30-second spots will break showing people losing their non-Jennie-O turkeys out a window or having them pop up during bath-time. There will be print and and in-store components as well and BBDO, the agency that created the spots, is seeding YouTube with the videos in hopes of reaching the folks there. I'd love to embed the videos from YouTube but can't since the code has been withheld from publication. Umm..half the reason companies should love YouTube is because it lets people grab said code and help spread the word organically. I don't get not making it available.
