Microsoft pushes XPS format as alternative to PDF
1st Nov 2005, 01:09 GMT
Microsoft will include a "Save as XPS" option in their upcoming Office 12 product. XPS is the Microsoft electronic paper format formerly code-named "Metro" and doesn't seem to offer any real benefits over PDF. Microsoft attempts to replace an existing and widely used format with its own proprietary document format. Good luck.
