The killing of former Palestinian security chief Moussa Arafat is yet another example of the deadly lawlessness that has taken hold in the Gaza Strip. In recent months, Palestinian and international human rights groups, lawyers, judges and activists have been sounding the alarm about the climate of chaos and warning that it threatens to undermine all prospects for peace.
