Amp'd Mobile bundles music into new offerings

Filed under: Cellular, Business Amp'd Mobile -- the most aggressive MVNO these day in terms of recruiting new customers -- will soon be offering its customers a few choices of downloadable music. The first offer will be for a few live recording dubbed "mastertones" that will come with supplemental material, and the second will be a $2.49 offer for a ringtone and accompanying mastertone (full-length tone). Amp'd's new music offerings come on the heels of a new technology operations, customer care, human resources and facilities executive was hired away from T-Mobile. Sue Swenson was set to join Amp'd in 2005, but former employer T-Mobile USA ended up delaying her new position with Amp'd by filing a direct competitor lawsuit.
