(Tri-City Herald) The Department of Energy is evaluating a potential new plan to treat radioactive sludge from Hanford's K Basins. DOE is weighing cost, schedule and safety factors as it looks at hauling the sludge to central Hanford for treatment rather than preparing it for disposal where it is now near the Columbia River. ...11/12
