Vodafone posts US$9.7B loss for 1st half to difficulties in Germany, Italy (Canadian Press)

Canadian Press - LONDON (AP) - Vodafone Group PLC, the world's largest mobile phone company, on Tuesday reported a net loss of 5.1 billion pounds (US$9.7 billion) in the first half of its fiscal year, largely because of a large charge related to difficulties in its German and Italian operations.
