US civil rights group sues AT&T for aiding NSA in spying

An Internet civil rights group filed a lawsuit against AT&T Inc. on Tuesday alleging that the telephone company compromised customers' privacy by helping the National Security Agency (NSA) monitor phone calls and e-mails, which was a part of its domestic spying program that was brought to light recently.
