Vaile undergoing skin cancer surgery

Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile has been diagnosed with skin cancer and is undergoing surgery to have a melanoma removed.Prime Minister John Howard announced before question time on Wednesday that Mr Vaile would be absent from parliament as he undergoes surgery.
