Co-founder of Syrian Baath Party dies at 80

One of the main founders of the Syrian Baath Party, Mansour al-Atrash, has died at the age of 80.Atrash was the son of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash, who led a national uprising against the French Army in 1925 and was revered as a national hero. The Atrash family is one of the most influential in the Druze community of Syria's Arab Mountain district.
